Can Pulsatilla be given as the first medicine to children during fever, when the physical and mental symptoms match?

But I also hear, Pulsatilla should never be given in the intial stage of an illness.

What is the truth?

Pulsatilla is not indicated medicine for initial stages of cold. I have not come across anything barring it in the initial stages of other ailments.

Thanks Udaya. That answer clarifies many things. If the constitutional medicine happens to be Pulsatilla, irrespective of whether a patient has cold or not it can be used as a first medicine, if symptoms are clearly symptoms match.
