My son who is 4 years old now has for his first three winters come down with a sudden onset of croup that quickly turns into bronchitis. He has had to be hospitalized 4 times for this since his birth. The MD's get him over it with steroids and antibiotics. I'm looking for some guidance from you all in what I should be doing homeopathically for him. He has already been to the doctor this fall for it, and prescribed antibiotics and steroids. Please guide me.

Lower Alabama
4 years
three winters
sudden onset
croup
quickly turns to bronchitis
this fall
Going by "suden onset" and "croup" the first remedy would be aconitum Nap. for first 24 hours of the onset. Maximum three doses at 4 hours gap or three globules in ounce of water two spoons every half hour if there is high fever accompanying croup. With 66% and above humidty and 6 degree Celsius temperature now hepar sulph 30 would be next chosen remedy. Once it turns to bronchitis
Antim Tart 30 , Bryonia Alba 30, Ipecacuanha, Kali bich, phosphorus, rhus tox, Pulsatilla etc. may be needed according to syptoms. Ferrum Phos 6X is good remdy for stopping its recurrence apart from nosodes to be used under prescription. Fall and lower Alabama (damper weather conditions) points to Dulcamera provided other symptom picture agree. with best wishes.

Hello Udaya

I have a question regarding the Ferrum Phos 6x. Are you referring to the Biochemic cell salt?

Thanks

yes. It will correct and regulate the assimilation of Iron and increase what the conventional medicine system calls resistance of the body. In 3x it is supposed to increase the hemoglobin and help recover from anaemia. It is also the first choice of medicine when nose is watering. rgds.

Canker Sore Treatment And Prevention
If you think you may have had a canker sore in the past, but just aren't sure, then you most likely haven't. Why do I say that? Because if you've ever had a canker sore then you would remember the pain they can cause. It just plain hurts at times, especially when drinking or eating.
The good news is that there are answers to how to get rid of canker sores and ways to cure them. A canker sore remedy can range from something as simple as eating a more healthy diet to changing the brand of toothpaste that brush with.
If you find that you are experiencing recurring canker sores you might want to change your diet. Are you eating a lot of spicy foods? These can cause new sores break out and slow down the healing process of those you currently have. Citrus fruits are nearly impossible to eat with a canker sore. The acids they contain not only irritate the sore, but cause a good deal of pain. Therefore try and avoid anything that contains a high level of acidity as well as things like chewing gum or hard candy.
While many foods can cause pain, there are some that work in your favor. Foods like yogurt, buttermilk and cottage cheese are great for canker sores. These foods all contain a substance that fights bacteria. If you are prone to getting canker sores it's wise to incorporate them into your regular diet.
